Cathy Quinn is a graduate of Dublin Institute of Technology and The Fitzwilliam Institute with qualifications in Business Operations and Human Resource Management, as well as a Diploma in Event Management and Public Relations. Cathy worked in the telecommunications industry until her volunteer work with the Special Olympics in 2003 persuaded her to follow her passion for sport and pursue a career in that field. She worked with Basketball Ireland when she participated in the ‘Sport and the Community’ Irish Institute program in 2008. From 2009 – 2012 she worked as Operations Manager for Irish Squash Cathy has recently completed a contract with London 2012 (LOCOG) working for the Olympics as a City Operations Manager. She is currently seeking new opportunities and challenges. Cathy has served as Membership Secretary of the IUSA for the 12 months and is seeking another term to help implement the IUSA Membership and Business plan aiming to further grow the association. Cathy would also like to introduce some Sporting events to the IUSA calendar for 2013.
