Panel Event on Politics
The U.S. Embassy, in partnership with the IUSA and the Clinton Institute hosted an evening panel discussion on the midterm elections in the United States for 2014. Some of the panel included:

Jack Thompson, Lecturer, UCD Clinton Institute for American Studies
Paul Gillespie, former Foreign Policy Editor, The Irish Times
Larry Donnelly, Law Lecturer, NUI Galway
The floor also got introductions from the US Ambassador to Ireland, Kevin O’Malley.
All of the participants were able to pose questions to the panel on the topics that are most associated with the MidTerm elections in US politics. The rise and decline of wings including the Tea Party, the impact on the presidential election in 2016 and the role of money in the campaigns.
